4th of July VCMP! Operation Home

Here are 2 cards I did for the challenge to make a card with 2 banners and at least one circle.
This first one I used all MFT stamps and dies and some Lilly Bean Paper I have in my stash.

OOPS! I guess I am only going to show 1 card, I did not take a picture of the 2nd card since it is getting dark.

Here is a card I did for this challenge which is to use at least 3 different textures on your card. I actually did 5 textures.  The sentiment was from Sending Love, Lawn Fawn set.
Well that is it for today, now I am off to check out what everyone else is doing and to leave some love along the way.
Thank you for looking and have a Blessed day!

4th of July VCMP! Operation Write Home Wings Challenge

For this challenge we were challenged to make Things with Wings. Normally the first thing that came to my mind was butterflies- I love butterflies!! But I decided to pull out my neglected Lawn Fawn Stamp Sets to see what I could make. I had several options but decided on the You are My Sunshine set. I really love how this card came out- it makes me smile to think that one of our Hero's will send this home and make someones day.

Thank yo for looking and have a Blessed Day!

4th of July VCMP/Operation Write Home Colored Background Challenge

The second challenge was to make a colored background. I had fun using my gelatos and distress inks to make these two cards. The first one I used Gelatos and water to make the colorful background. I love these orange and pink together. A fun and simple card! I stamp is from MFT.

The second card I used several distress inks on water color paper. I put the inks on my craft mat, spritzed with water and then ran my paper over it. Love the effect it makes. I then dry embossed with a new Elizabeth craft folder called Spring Leaves. I die cut  a Memory Box butterfly out of black paper and vellum. I stamped the MFT sentiment on velum and  heat embossed.

Thank you for looking and have a blessed day!

4th of July VCMP/ Operation Write Home Noon Challenge

I am having sooooo much fun with the Operation Write Home 4th of July VCMP!  A whole weekend of card making, just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing.   The first challenge  was to make a red, white and blue birthday day- I made one masculine and one feminine.
The first one i use my new SU stamp set Flower Patch and the matching dies and for the sentiment I used SU So Very Happy. I love how this came out

For this second card I used several different manufactures stamps, The swishes are MFT Abstract Art and the Happy Birthday is from a set I bought at an arts and craft garage sale- I think it is a Close to My Heart set. I think it still needs something but not sure what.

That is is for this challenge - coming up is the colored background challenge.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

I'm back with some new projects using my new StampinUp stamps!

I finally found time to play with all my new goodies from StampinUp and play in a few challenges. I think I will make it in time  for the PPA208 Sketch Challenge.
Please excuse my pictures, I left my good camera at work and had to use my cell phone to take the pictures. It does not take the best pictures, the cards actually look better in person.

This is the 1st card that I made for the challenge. I used the owl and little circles from the So Very Happy set. I used Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss ink and card stock.

My second card is my favorite, it looks so much better in person. I used the new Flower Patch stamp set from SU. I used my new favorite embossing folder by Elizabeth Craft Designs called Curly Leaves, it is hard to see it in this photo. I will be posting a card where you can really see what the embossing looks like. I stamped the vine on a strip of paper and then stamped on a separate piece of card stock the flowers and hand cut them out and attached to the vine.  The sentiment is on a white banner, which is adhered behind the vine. I hate that you can not see the detail on this card, I am hoping to retake with my camera and repost.
The 3rd card is a close favorite.  Again I used a the So Very Happy stamp set, I am really liking this set. Again, this card looks better in person, the color is softer.

Thank you for looking and have a Blessed Day!
